A Few Notes From Cheryl

Greetings and thank you!  This is a month of celebration and gratitude for YOU and everything you mean to us at Goals InSight.  We are celebrating many things this month, including:

 1.  YOU!  To date, there are 982 of you, loyal newsletter readers, located in 14 different countries, so we are truly a global community.  Many of you frequently refer your business colleagues, friends and family to receive this e-zine, which we greatly appreciate.  We've nearly reached our first goal of 1,000 subscribers, so if you refer a friend in the next week who becomes the 1,000th subscriber, both you AND your friend will receive a complimentary copy of the audio/workbook program "Powerful Goal Setting:  6 Steps to Meaningful Business & Personal Achievement"!  Be sure to tell your friend to enter your name in the field "How did you hear about this ezine" when they sign up at www.goalsinsight.com/newsletters/index.html

Also, to thank you for being part of our community, we are offering a two-day specia-l on our self-study products -- see below for details!

2.  NEW TEAM MEMBER!  We are celebrating that Sharon Close has joined the Goals InSight team as Vice President of Marketing.  Sharon brings over 22 years of marketing, sales and public relations expertise to our team and we are very excited that she is on board.  Many of you will get to know her as she talks with you about your team building needs.  Welcome, Sharon!

3.  JOHN MURPHY:  We are also celebrating the life of my father-in-law, John Murphy III, who passed away on February 23.  He lived a life filled with community service within numerous organizations, which I greatly admire, as his good deeds touched many people in this lifetime.  He will be missed.

Feature Article:  What Are You Celebrating?

As you saw above, we are celebrating many things here at Goals InSight.  What are YOU celebrating in your work or business?  What could you be celebrating that you're not yet celebrating with your team and colleagues?  Let's take a look...

1.  What is one accomplishment your team could celebrate, right NOW?   What has your team accomplished so far 2007 in your work that is cause for celebration?    Remember, you can celebrate ANYThing that you consider an accomplishment, without judging whether it is "big" or "small"!

2.  What is one aspect of team Trust, Respect or Camaraderie that your team has exhibited that is cause for celebration?  Because Trust, Respect and Camaraderie are the three most important characteristics of a successful team, it is important to celebrate those aspects of your team when they show up.  Acknowledge these qualities and ask your team how you as a team can continue to integrate these qualities into daily team life.

3.   What is one aspect of your team's communication that you could celebrate?  Communicating well is the foundation of a successful team, so be sure to celebrate when your team is communicating well verbally, non-verbally, in writing and in any other ways that your team is being successful!

4.  What is one aspect of your team's ability to handle conflict that you could celebrate?
Dealing with conflict on a team is critical to your team being able to achieve the results that your organization needs for your team to achieve, so when your team handles conflict well be sure to acknowledge this and celebrate your team's success!

Some of you may be reading this article and saying to yourself "I'm not sure if we have anything to celebrate right now"!  If you found yourself saying something like that, don't despair - I am quite sure that there is at least one thing that your team can celebrate.  You may have to look a little harder to find it, but there is always something to celebrate so keep looking until you find it!  And then, talk with your team about what is needed so that your team is functioning better in the areas needed so that a month from today, or six months from today, it will be much easier to find MANY things to celebrate!

And, of course, we are here to help you if your team needs assistance in creating things to celebrate.  As always, you're welcome to contact us at (510) 482-8987 or info@goalsinsight.com if we can be of assistance in any way.

Team Building Events and Off-Site Meetings:
Could your team use some help to be more cohesive?
Is it time to enhance your team's relationships and productivity?

Now is the time to plan - our 2007 calendar is fillinq up!

Some teams know that something isn't working, but they don't know exactly what that is or how to improve it.  Some organizations hold team building seminars and employee retreats to enhance their teams productivity and relationships.  Do either of those statements describe you/your team?  If so, and if you haven't already contacted us to discuss your needs, be sure to do so soon to see if we can help you while space is available (our calendar often fills up 1-3 months in advance).

We offer a variety of programs to enhance the performance of your teams as well as improve the ways in which your teams interact, so we invite you to visit  http://www.goalsinsight.com/programs/team_training.html . This is a great way to show appreciation for your team and enhance their productivity, thereby improving the bottom line for your organization!
